Summer is coming up fast, and you may find yourself getting bored or finding nothing to do to pass the time. Here is a list of activities that you, your family and friends can be involved with.

Bake cookies for ice cream sandwiches

Baking can be super fun and having ice cream to go with your cookies is even better. You can do this by yourself, with family, or with a group of friends.

Have a picnic at your local park or in your backyard

Having a picnic in the sun with family or friends can be a pretty good time. You can pack little sandwiches and snacks to enjoy. Make sure to pack plenty of water to stay hydrated in the hot weather.

Have a campout in your backyard

Gather your friends and family to have a fun time! You can put up multiple tents in your backyard and fill them with as many blankets and pillows as you prefer. When it gets dark enough you and your buddies can all pile in and tell spooky stories or play board games.

Cookout and s’mores

Having a cookout is a good way to get people involved. You can have a selection of burgers, sausages, hot dogs, and maybe even grilled veggies. After everyone is settled down and it starts to get dark out, you can make a small bonfire and cook some s’mores and just hang out before everyone gets tired and wants to go home.

Game Night

Game night could be really fun, invite a few of your buddies over and dust off those old board games and have a blast. Some fun board games and card games are: Monopoly, Apples to Apples, Candy Land, Speak Out, Uno, Scrabble, and Battleship.  Leave out snacks and refreshments for your pals and you’ll be sure to be up late having a good time.

I have listed things above that you can do with friends or with family. Now, here are a few things you can do on your own

Paint or draw

Drawing and painting can be really relaxing, even if you aren’t very good at either. Just find some inspiration and go to town.

Binge watch a show

Who doesn’t enjoy a good show? There are many shows on Netflix and Hulu to binge watch such as, American Horror Story, You,  Black Mirror, The Office, Orange is the New Black, The Act, Rick and Morty, and This is Us. Enjoy watching.

Bake

Baking is fun, and is a good way to pass the time. There are many things you can bake such as cookies, cakes, bread, and brownies.

Go Swimming

Go to the lake or to the local pool and cool off. It is a fun way to pass the time and to get a little bit of exercise in.

I hope you enjoyed your school year and that you have a fun and eventful summer!
