Student Council is a fantastic way for students to voice their opinions and help around the community. At Bethel High School, the students in Student Council help greet new students, organize assemblies, plan dress-up days for homecoming, along with much more.

Applications are available in Mrs. Lynch’s room and they are due back May 7th by 3:30.

During the application process, you must:

  • Read the Constitution of the Bethel High School Student Council
  • Obtain the required signatures from your classmates and GPA verification for nomination
  • Give recommendation forms to three teachers to be returned directly to the student council sponsor
  • Turn the completed form into Mrs. Taron in the office to get the principal’s signature.
  • You’re done!!

Dates to remember:

  • Tuesday, May 7: Turn in completed petitions to Mrs. Taron. She will get Mr. Stewart’s signature and then she will return them to Mrs. Lynch
  • Wednesday, May 8: Candidate interviews by appointment (only if you have never ran for office)
  • Thursday, May 9: New Council will be posted in glass hall during 3rd hour

 

Student Council is an amazing experience to participate in throughout high school. Good luck to all the applicants!!
