It’s that time of year again when Jackpot shows start winding down. Jackpots are shows to get livestock exhibitors ready for the big shows in the spring. These jackpots are hosted on the weekends all across the state. Bethel FFA had many members attend a number of jackpots this season. Kadyn Mcleary and Seth Jackson started off by traveling to Tahlequah. Kadyn, for the first time, exhibited his Duroc gilt and Seth placed 4th with his Cross, 6th with his York, 3rd with his Spot, and 8th in the Senior Skillathon. The next jackpot was in Stillwater where Mike St. Clair received 2nd in the Hereford class and 5th in the Cross class. The following weekend Seth Jackson showed in Chickasha where he got 3rd with his Spot gilt and 2nd with his Cross barrow. Kellyville soon followed where Seth’s Spot won his class and placed 4th overall Spot at the show. At the T & D Meats Jackpot in Okemah, Mason Martinez, Seth Jackson, and Michael St. Clair all exhibited pigs. Seth received 2nd with his Spot, 2nd with his Cross, and 1st with his other Cross. Michael placed 4th with his Spot and 4th with his Cross. Meanwhile, on the same day, Isaac Mohr was in Coalgate, Oklahoma showing his lamb where he placed 4th in his class. The season finished up with Seth Jackson showing in Stillwater where he received 3rd and 5th with his Crosses. What a great jackpot season for the Bethel FFA and we are excited and ready to go for Central Area, Local, County and OYE!
