On Tuesday, January 23, the Wildcats took on the Tecumseh Savages in a pair of tightly contested games for both the boys and girls teams. The Lady Wildcats trailed late in the game, but a big fourth quarter put the game into overtime. They kept the momentum going as they one-upped the Lady Savages in overtime. They won the game 46-45. Kennedy Gregory led the girls with 14 points. The boys game was tight for most of the contest, but a big third quarter by the Savages put them up, and the Wildcats were not able to overcome it. Despite Drae Wood’s 15 points and Jaylon Gordon’s 13, the Wildcats lost the game 56-49.

Friday, January 26th, was homecoming for the Wildcats, and after the ceremony and queen was named, the games got going against the OCS Saints. The boys’ team was down in the fourth quarter but were able to tie it up before the end of regulation and force overtime. In overtime, the Wildcats stayed ahead and ended up winning the game 48-47.  The girls’ team got out to a big lead early, but were unable to hold off the OCS comeback and lost the game 44-38.
