However, the girls’ team did not win their contest. Kirsten Winters had 16 points and Kelsie Wood had 14, but the good scoring was not enough as they fell 59-55.

Things were different for the Lady Wildcats in the second round as they grabbed a big win against the Centennial team, 73-23. Four players put up double-digit points, led by Kirsten Winters who had 17. The boys’ team faced the Tecumseh Savages in the second round. Senior post, Ben Pfeiff, started out hot with 13 points in the first half but was held scoreless in the second as the Savages changed defense to stop his scoring. In the end, Tecumseh won the game 57-50 and knocked the boys’ team out of title contention.

In the Consolation Championship, the girls’ team faced Tecumseh. The Lady Wildcats got off to a quick start and were able to hold off a Lady Savage run. With the help of Faith Hanna, who had 15 points, the Lady Wildcats won the Consolation Championship 42-35.
